Killer by James Pattinson
Douglas Heeney came out of prison harbouring a grudge against a certain Roy Denver.
It was Denver who had been instrumental in having him arrested and sentenced for his part in a warehouse robbery. The fact that he deserved the punishment, and that Detective Inspector Denver had simply been carrying out his duty in making the arrest, made no difference as far as Heeney was concerned.
During the years of his imprisonment, the thought of how he would take his revenge on Denver had never been far from his mind. And although Denver has left the police, Henney still intends to kill him, for he can’t forgive an injury, real or imagined.
